Cinepillole (The Return).

I thought the link for "new post" had committed suicide but apparently it seems to work. I left the prison term, due to fear of examination, terrible but necessary. I can now say they can resume regularly to update the blog!

I decided to reset the cinema section, namely: I understand that putting more than one film in post makes me miss too much time and the result is also approximate and artificial, that sounds a lot like mess, which is really what I mean.
Let's cut.

Biutiful - Alejandro Gongalez Innaritu (2011)

You know Barcelona?

(Some maybe you'll be already turning your head thinking about the nightlife, the bright colors, alcohol rivers, to the loud music .....)

Well, forget it. Più che Barcellona questa è Babilonia (Babel è il nome dello scorso film di Innaritu,tra l'altro). 
Una babele labirintica di rinnegati pronti a tutto pur di restare a galla in una metropoli corrotta,grigia e intollerante. Ed è prorio questo lo spirito del film:è un film sporco. Quello che mancava a 21 grammi e Babel, lo troviamo nel film migliore di Inarritu: l'impetuosità,il pathos crescente, principalmente dovuti all'interpretazione impeccabile di Javier Bardem, il protagonista assoluto del film.

Con quest'aria sudicia, desolante e allo stesso tempo agguerrita, aspra, quasi animalesca. Come una bestia triste ma aggrappata alla vita con le unghie, con questo profilo camuso, rozzo. Bardem è perfetto. Perfetto per interpretare la storia di un uomo in caduta libera.

Afflitto da un male incurabile, non accetta l'idea di poter andarsene, proprio lui, il sensitivo, lui, che ha un legame speciale con l'aldilà.

Più che sull'aldilà,tuttavia, il film spiega come rimanere vivi nel mondo gretto e spietato, in cancrena, come il corpo di Uxbal (Bardem).

Innaritu put in the cauldron a wealth of tasty ingredients, perhaps too full to taste them all. In fact, the issues (from bipolirsmo Uxbal's wife, the relationship with their children, the economic problems of an economic collapse, immigration and ending with the work in black and homosexuality difficult to deal with) are really a lot but skillfully interwoven to form a precious fabric, but dark and gloomy colors.

Ottima regia, nonostante si discosti dal montaggio schizofrenico che ormai sembrava essere diventato il marchio di fabbrica del regista (21 grammi e Babel), la narrazione è lineare, se si esclude il passaggio iniziale- finale ed è caratterizzata da un climax ascendente di tensione e miseria.

Il film strizza senz'altro l'occhio al melò ma senza scendere nel patetico,anzi, comunque riuscendo a reggere la tensione in maniera inaspettata per un film "impegnato", ma neanche poi così inaspettata se pensiamo al talento the director.

A film with so many claims, maintaining, as far as I'm concerned.
And I repeat, amazing Bardem.
